Misplaced Pen - A Heavy Ink Display Font
Misplaced Pen is a bold, tactile display font inspired by the charming grit of mid-century letterpress and worn-out hand-painted signage. It looks like a sign in the window of a shop that’s been closed since 1964—heavy, rounded, and unapologetically imperfect.
Designed for when "clean and digital" just isn't the right answer, this font features soft terminals and "ink-bleed" edges that mimic the weight of a physical stamp.
What's it great for?
- Industrial Branding: Logos that need to feel permanent and blue-collar.
- Tactile Packaging: Craft coffee, apothecary bottles, or heavy-duty goods.
- Editorial Grime: Zines, gig posters, and low-fi layouts.
- "Handmade" Identity: Anything that needs to look like it was made by a human in a hurry.
Rough Rider is designed for medium to large sizes, where spacing and rhythm matter.
What's included?
- Misplaced-Pen.otf (The full display face)
- Uppercase Alphabet (Plus numbers and essential punctuation)
- The Vibe: Thick stems, pillowy joints, and zero sterile lines.
